Iona Hosts MAAC Basketball Doubleheader on Feb. 11 on ESPNU

Edison, N.J. - Iona College's Hynes Athletics Center will be the site for the next televised MAAC men's and women's basketball doubleheader this season on Friday, February 11. Both games will air on ESPNU, the 24-hour college sports network.

The first game of the twin bill will feature a match-up between the women's programs from Marist College and Iona at 4:30 p.m. Marist, 21-2 overall and 12-0 in the MAAC, is led by senior guard Erica Allenspach, who is registering 13.2 points and 4.9 rebounds per game, and junior guard Corielle Yarde, who is averaging 12.1 points and 5.6 caroms a night for the Red Foxes. Iona, 9-15 overall and 5-7 in the MAAC, is led by junior forward Kristina Ford, who is contributing 12.1 points and 6.0 rebounds per game, and senior forward Anda Ivkovic, who is posting 11.5 points and 5.5 rebounds an outing for the Gaels.

Game two has the Siena College men against Iona for a 7:00 p.m. tip-off. Siena, 10-13 overall and 7-6 in the MAAC, is led by senior forward Ryan Rossiter, who is averaging 19.0 points and 13.1 rebounds an outing, and senior guard Clarence Jackson, who is netting 14.6 points and 3.1 rebounds a night for the Saints. Iona, 14-10 overall and 8-5 in the MAAC, is led by junior forward Mike Glover, who is netting 19.1 points and pulling down 10.5 boards a night, and junior guard Scott Machado, who is averaging 13.8 points and 7.6 assists an outing for the Gaels.
