ASHLEY CORRISS, MARIST
Junior, OF, 5-6, Sayville, N.Y./St. Anthony's
Corriss led off all five games for the Red Foxes at the College of Charleston Cougar Classic and went 7-for-12 at the plate with a double and two walks. She got on base four times in five games to open the games and scored her lone run of the weekend in the top of the first against Drexel. In addition to hitting .583, she boasted an on-base percentage of .643 and was perfect in stolen base attempts. Defensively, she tallied seven putouts and her first outfield assist of the season was a play at the plate against the College of Charleston.
MAAC Pitcher of the Week
SARAH JACKSON, IONA
Junior, RHP, 5-8, Citrus Heights, Calf./Del Campo
Jackson is a perfect 4-0 thus far this season, going the distance in each of her four starts this year and posting an earned run average of 1.85. Against Charlotte during opening weekend, she allowed three runs and struck out seven in an 11-3 Iona win.
MAAC Rookie of the Week
JESSIKA-JO SANDRINI, SIENA
Freshman, P/OF, 5-7, Adna, Wash./Adna
Sandrini went 6-for-10 (.600), with Siena's only home run and a team-high five RBI, in a four-game road trip in North Carolina. She also tossed 11 quality innings, going 1-1 with 10 strikeouts and a 3.82 ERA. Most notably, Sandrini threw a complete game against North Carolina Central, not allowing an earned run in seven innings while striking out eight hitters.
