MAGGIE WOOD, IONA

UT, Sr., 5-10, Evergreen Park, IL/Mother McAuley

 Wood set a new Iona record with eight goals as she led the Gaels to an 11-9 victory over Wagner in a non-conference contest. Her eight goals broke the existing record set in 1999. She also added an assist for nine points on the day.

MAAC Defensive Player of the Week

LAURA VANDERBENT, WAGNER

U, Sr., Shillington, PA/Governor Mifflin

VanderBent led the Seahawks defensively this past weekend accumulating nine steals, one field block and drawing one exclusion. The senior co-captain also tallied two goals and one assist opposite Iona and two goals against Harvard.

2M, Fr., 5-8, Baytown, TX/Ross Sterling

Olsen contributed a goal in Iona's 11-9 win over Wagner and also tied the program record with six kickouts drawn.
