Bridgeport, Conn. - The top two seeds, Marist and Loyola, will meet in the 2011 Spark Energy MAAC Women's Basketball Championship Game Presented by Webster Bank at 1 p.m. on Monday, March 7 at the Webster Bank Arena at Harbor Yard. The game will air live on ESPNU, the 24-hour college sports network.

#21/18 Marist enters the game with a 25-game winning streak, the longest in the nation and will be aiming to extend its record of five straight MAAC Championships. Leading the way will be senior guard Erica Allenspach, the MAAC Player of the Year, who has 50 points on 10-for-11 3-point field goal shooting in the team's two tournament wins. Her 34 points in the quarterfinal victory over Siena tied her for third most all-time in a MAAC Championship contest.

Loyola has lost just once in its last 12 games, however, two of the Greyhounds three conference losses came against Marist - 59-43 on Jan. 10 and 62-52 on Jan. 24. Junior guard Miriam McKenzie, an All-MAAC First Team selection, had 19 points in the Greyhounds win against Canisius, including a buzzer-beating 3-pointer at the end of regulation to send the game to overtime. She followed that performance with 17 against Manhattan as Loyola knocked out third-seeded Manhattan.

The winner will receive the MAAC's automatic bid to the 2011 NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Championship.
