TERESA HEALY, NIAGARA
Senior, 2B, 5-6, Las Vegas, Nev./Centennial
Healy was 8-for-15 in six games for a .533 batting average, including five doubles and a home run. Including her nine walks on the weekend, she safely made it on base 17 times out of a potential 24 chances (.708). Healy had seven RBIs and eight runs on the weekend that saw her tie Niagara's single-season doubles record, with 15 two-base hits.
MAAC Pitcher of the Week
SARAH JACKSON, IONA
Junior, RHP, 5-8, Citrus Heights, Calif./Del Campo
Jackson went 4-0 with an earned run average of 0.86 in 24.1 innings of work. At Army, she went four innings, allowing just two walks and one hit and striking out eight in a 2-1 win. Against Niagara, she pitched 13.1 innings during the twinbill, giving up eight hits and two earned runs while fanning 23 batters to collect both wins. Jackson finished the week with a complete game against Canisius, going seven innings, allowing six hits and one run with seven strikeouts in a 5-0 Gaels' victory.
MAAC Rookie of the Week
KATE BOWEN, MANHATTAN
Freshman, P/1B, 5-6, Newtown, Conn./Newtown
Bowen notched the game-winning RBI and earned the win in Manhattan's come-from-behind 9-6 triumph over Marist in the second game of a twinbill on Saturday. She struck out the final two Marist hitters in the top of the seventh to clinch the 9-6 victory. Bowen got at least one hit in each contest this weekend, hitting .357 (5-for-14) with three runs scored and five RBIs, as the Lady Jaspers went 3-1 in the four games.
