MAAC Offensive Player of the Week

LINDSEY MORGAN, CANISIUS

M, So., 5-2, Lancaster, N.Y./Lancaster

Morgan led the Canisius offense to a convincing 19-8 victory against Siena on Sunday. The sophomore set career highs with seven points, five goals and two assists in the win as Canisius clinched the second seed for the 2011 MAAC Championship. Her seven points more than doubled her previous career high total, topping the mark by four points.

MAAC Defensive Player of the Week

MEGAN OOSTING, CANISIUS

M, Jr., 5-7, Lakefield, Ontario/Lakefield District

 The Griffs dominated possession thanks to nine draw control victories by Oosting. She set a school record with her nine draw control wins -- two more than the previous standard -- and collected one more draw control than the entire Siena team. Oosting also led the Griffs with five ground balls and two caused turnovers.

MAAC Co-Rookies of the Week

MELANIE RASO, FAIRFIELD

A, Fr., 5-4, Farmingdale, N.Y./Farmingdale

 Raso struck for three goals, as well as handing out an assist, to help power the Stags offense to a 16-9 win over Manhattan. She also scooped up two ground balls.

BRENNA LADE, IONA

A, Fr., 5-2, Morristown, N.J./Morristown

 Lade had her seventh multi-goal game of the year with a hat trick in Iona's 14-10 win at Marist.  She registered the game winning goal which was her third of the day and had one assist in the victory.  Lade also recorded two ground balls and one draw control.
