MAAC Tennis Championships Begin Wednesday at National Tennis Center

Edison, NJ - The 2011 MAAC Men's &
Women's Tennis Championships begin Wednesday, April 20, at the USTA Billie Jean
King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, New York.
Marist, the three-time
defending MAAC champions, earned the top seed after completing the regular season a
perfect 6-0 in conference play. The Red Foxes will take on fourth-seeded Loyola in the semifinals, while #2 Fairfield will meet #3 Niagara. Both men's matches are scheduled for noon starts.
On the women's side,
two-time defending champions Fairfield garnered the #1 seed with a 7-0 mark in the league. The Stags will take on #4 Siena, while second-seeded Marist meets third-seeded Loyola. Both matches will begin at 8:30 a.m.
In the event of inclement weather, the indoor site is at Saint
Peter's College in Jersey City, N.J. A decision will be made on each day
