MAAC Player of the Week

SEAN JAMIESON, CANISIUS
Senior, SS, 6-0, 197, Simcoe, Ontario/Niagara County C.C.

Jamieson hit .714 last week and reached base in nine of his 11 plate appearances in the three games. He went 3-for-3 with two runs scored, two doubles and three steals in the win over Youngstown State. In the two games at Manhattan, Jamieson reached base in five of his seven plate appearances, including a two-run homer in the first inning of the series opener.


MAAC Pitcher of the Week

ERIC LUKSIS, MANHATTAN
Sophomore, LHP, 6-2, 190, Wappingers Falls, N.Y./John Jay East Fishkill

Luksis pitched a complete game shutout to earn a 1-0 victory over Canisius on Friday at Van Cortlandt Park. It was his fourth complete game of the season, and he tied a career-high with seven strikeouts to finish off a doubleheader sweep of the Golden Griffins. Luksis was hitless through the first three innings, and he limited the Canisius to only four hits in the game to win his fourth consecutive start and keep Manhattan perfect in the MAAC.


MAAC Rookie of the Week

TYLER BELL, SIENA
Freshman, OF, 6-0, 170, Cornwall, N.Y./Cornwall

Bell batted .400 on the week, and .455 in the Saints' weekend sweep at Niagara. He went 3-for-3, and scored two runs in the ninth inning as Siena rallied from 4-1 down to win the first game of the MAAC series. Bell hit safely in four of the five games, scored four runs and stole two bases. He posted a.500 on-base percentage for the week.
