CHELSEA SHEEHAN, IONA
Junior, INF, 5-6, Branford, Conn./Branford
Sheehan went a perfect 3-3 (1.000) and reached base five times overall in the Gaels' doubleheader sweep of Stony Brook. In game one, she had two hits, including an RBI double, and scored two runs in a 7-0 victory. In game two, Sheehan reached twice with a walk and a double, scoring two more runs in a 5-1 win.
MAAC Pitcher of the Week
EMILY OSTERHAUS, MARIST
Sophomore, RHP, 5-4, Suwanee, Ga./Peachtree Ridge
Pitching in game one of the Red Foxes' sole doubleheader of the week versus La Salle, Osterhaus had a shutout performance in which the Explorers were held to one hit. After allowing two batters to reach in the top of the first with one out, she retired 20 of the final 22 batters of the game, with just two reaching via full-count walks. For the game, Osterhaus struck out eight Explorers in six innings on the way to her eleventh win of the season.
MAAC Rookie of the Week
JEN CONSAUL, CANISIUS
Freshman, P, 5-9, Chili, N.Y./Churchville-Chili
Consaul went 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA and a save in her two appearances last week. In the Griffs' 6-2 win over Buffalo, she came on in relief and picked up her third save of the season after she went three innings and fanned four. Consaul came back at Siena and earned her fifth win of the season in the circle after she tossed a three-hit complete-game shutout where she struck out three Saints.
