Lake Buena Vista, FL - The Loyola men's golf team won its third straight MAAC title at the 2011 MAAC Golf Championships at Disney's Magnolia Golf Course in Lake Buena Vista, FL. Siena's Don Denyse was the men's individual champion.

Loyola led by 2 strokes heading into the final round and kept the lead posting a winning total of 895. Iona finished second with a score of 908. Siena was third at 909, followed by Fairfield (926), Canisius (937), Saint Peter's (944), Manhattan (955), Rider (977) and Niagara (995). Loyola was led by Patrick McCormick, who finished in second with a score of 217.

Denyse won the McLeod Memorial Award with rounds of 73, 75, and 69 (217) and was tied with McCormick after the final round.  Denyse won in individual sudden victory with a score of 4 on the par-4 18th, while McCormick bogeyed the hole. The award is named after Charles "Scott" McLeod, a 1980 graduate of Iona College, who passed away in 1985 after a life-long fight with kidney-related ailments. McLeod was also a lifetime member of the Pelham Country Club, where the MAAC Tournament was held in the middle 1980's, and was a sponsor of the tournament the first year it was held at Pelham.

Iona head coach Matt Glovaski was selected as the 2011 MAAC Men's Coach of the Year. Fairfield's Scott Rainaud earned Rookie of the Year honors.
