MAAC Mourns the Loss of Loretta Cicirelli

Edison, N.J. - The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference mourns the loss of Loretta Cicirelli, who lost her battle with cancer on May 19.
Loretta and her husband Bernie, a graduate of Saint Peter's College, were the owners and operators of Peacock Communications Inc., which has handled all of the MAAC's printing needs over the years. Their son, Bernie Jr., is also a graduate of Saint Peter's and now runs the company since his parents' retirement. Their grandson, Rob Cicirelli, served as the Director of Marketing (Operations) for the MAAC during the 2009-2010 season.
"Bernie and Loretta have been long time supporters of the MAAC and a fixture at the annual basketball tournament, including this year's in Bridgeport," Rich Ensor, Commissioner of the MAAC, said. "She told me how thrilled she was when her Peacocks won the men's championship. She will be missed by so many, including my family. We offer Bernie and his family our condolences on their loss."
The wake will be Tuesday, May 24 from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. at:

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Peter's College. Donations will be accepted through the funeral home website.
