LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Siena men's lacrosse seniors John Rogener and Duncan Seale earned more accolades Tuesday. The duo was selected to play in the prestigious 69th Annual USILA/LaxWorld North/South All-Star game, while Rogener additionally was named a USILA Scholar All-American.

The North/South game, which features the best Division I and II seniors in the country, serves as the kickoff to college lacrosse's Final Four weekend in Baltimore. Rogener and Seale were the only MAAC representatives on the North team and join former Siena greats Brent Herbst '10 and Tony Asterino '81 as the only players in program history to be invited to participate in this prestigious contest.

The 2011 USILA/LaxWorld North/South game will be held this Friday, May 27 at Goucher College in Towson, Md. Tickets are available on site for $5 each on game day with faceoff slated for 5:30 p.m. from Beldon Field.

A senior captain, Rogener was named to both the All-MAAC Second and Tournament teams this spring. Rogener, who scored a hat trick in the MAAC Championship Game, started in all 18 games at midfield this year and tallied 19 goals and finished with 28 points while leading the Saints with 51 groundballs.

Seale meanwhile was named the MAAC Defensive Player of the Year. Also a MAAC First Team selection, Seale was the backbone of the Siena defense and picked up 26 groundballs while causing 13 turnovers this spring.
Meanwhile Rogener was the only MAAC player and one of just 19 Division I student-athletes to earn Scholar All-American accolades. Rogener joins Herbst and Matt Walsh '06 as the only players in program history to earn Scholar All-American status.

Rogener recently graduated with a 3.42 GPA while majoring in Marketing and Management. One of just 20 candidates nationally for the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award, Rogener was a three-time MAAC All-Academic Team selection.

Rogener and Seale led a Siena Men's Lacrosse team which posted a program-record 13 wins this spring and qualified for the NCAA Tournament for the second time in the past three years.
