BRANDON COTTEN, RIDER
Junior, CF, 6-2, 205, Wiconisco, Pa./Williams Valley
In Rider's three-game sweep of Saint Peter's, Cotten batted .600 with three home runs and three doubles, seven runs scored and four RBI out of the leadoff spot. He scored the tying run in the seventh inning in the 8-6 come-from behind win on Sunday to sweep the series.
MAAC Pitcher of the Week
ERIC LUKSIS, MANHATTAN
Sophomore, LHP, 6-2, 190, Wappingers Falls, N.Y./John Jay East Fishkill
Luksis pitched his second consecutive complete game shutout in conference play on Saturday, leading the Jaspers to a 4-0 victory at Niagara, their 16th straight MAAC victory. He recorded six strikeouts and allowed only four hits as he won his fifth straight league start and registered his fifth complete game of the season. Luksis did not walk a batter and limited Niagara to a .148 batting average.
MAAC Rookie of the Week
RYAN PLOURDE, FAIRFIELD
Freshman, OF, 6-0, 195, Waterbury, Conn./Holy Cross
Plourde hit .500 (6-12) with five runs scored, three RBI, a .750 slugging percentage, and a .588 on-base percentage in the Stags' 3-1 week. In the Stags' 6-5 win over Iona, he was 2-for-3 with a triple, two runs scored, and one driven in. Plourde drove in a go-ahead run in the fifth inning and, after Iona tied it up in the seventh, he would score what would be the game-winning run in the bottom half of the inning.
