Edison, N.J. - MAAC Commissioner Richard J. Ensor, Esq. was named to the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Board of Directors, the WBCA office announced last week.

Ensor has been appointed to represent conference commissioners. He recently completed a five-year term on the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Committee. Ensor's term for the 2011-12 academic year began July 31-August 1 when the WBCA Executive Committee and WBCA Board of Directors met in Atlanta.

"I look forward to working with the coaches that make up the WBCA Board of Directors to continue to improve the game and increase fan interest in the sport," Ensor noted. "The WBCA, under the leadership of Beth Bass, does a tremendous job of having the coaches' voices heard within all three divisions of the NCAA, whether it involves the rules of the game, the administration of the sport, the recruiting environment or the welfare of the student-athletes."
