Offensive Player of the Week
Abi Cottam, Rider, Jr., F, 5-9,Leominster, England/Ludlow
In two Rider victories last week, Cottam compiled four goals and two assists for 10 points along with two game-winning goals. In the 3-2 win at Howard, Rider trailed 2-0 before Cottam scored with 7:41 remaining, assisted on the tying goal with just 2:41 left and then scored the game winner in overtime. In the 5-0 win over previously unbeaten Wagner (4-0-1), she scored just 1:28 into the game for a 1-0 lead, then assisted on the goal that gave Rider a 3-0 lead and scored once again to make it 4-0.
Defensive Player of the Week
Kelly Boudreau, Fairfield, Sr., GK, 5-8, Farmington, Conn./Farmington
Boudreau posted her third and fourth consecutive shutouts over the weekend to earn MVP honors at the Fairfield Women's Soccer Invitational. She made 10 saves over the course of the weekend, none bigger than a diving stop during the first overtime of a 0-0 draw with Syracuse. Less than a minute later, she made another diving stop, but wasn't credited with a save when a delayed offsides was whistled. Boudreau would make half of her saves in the Sunday win over Holy Cross, running her streak of not allowing a goal to 461 minutes, 200 of them coming over the weekend. She has not allowed a goal since the first-half of the season opener at #4 Boston College, the only goal she has allowed this season.
Rookie of the Week
Danielle Singson, Rider, Fr., GK, Deer Park, NY/St. Anthony's
Singson started two games in the Rider nets last week, playing a total of 117 minutes and without allowing a goal. At Howard, she started and played a scoreless first half. After the other Rider goalie started the second half and allowed two goals, Singson came back in and finished the game as Rider came back to win. In win over Wagner, Singson played the first half as Rider built a 2-0 lead.
