Offensive Player of the Week
Caitlin Cahalan, Siena, Jr., MF/F, 5-1, Cohoes, N.Y./Shaker
Cahalan totaled a six-point week in leading the Saints to a perfect 2-0 record. She scored the game-winning golden goal in overtime against Vermont and assisted on the game winner Sunday in a road victory at A-10 foe Temple. Cahalan scored both of the Saints' goals against the Catamounts and assisted on a pair of goals against the Owls for her six points.
Defensive Player of the Week
Kelly Boudreau, Fairfield, Sr., GK, 5-8, Farmington, Conn./Farmington
Boudreau made five saves, including two in the second overtime period in the Stags' lone game of the week, a tie with undefeated Hartford. The senior made three second-half stops as well, keeping the game knotted at 1-1 and forcing the extra period. It marks her fifth game this season with at least five saves.
Co-Rookies of the Week
Torey Camporini, Fairfield, Fr., MF, 5-4, Safety Harbor, Fla./Clearwater Central Catholic
Camporini picked a fine time to tally her first collegiate goal, drawing the Stags level against the undefeated Hartford Hawks. She took a loose ball out of a pack of Hartford defenders just inside the 18 and drilled home the equalizer in the 64th minute of action.
Amanda Epstein, Marist, Fr., F, 5-5, Jericho, N.Y./Jericho
On Friday at Bucknell, Epstein netted the game-winning goal in the 107th minute to give the Red Foxes a 2-1 golden goal victory. Her fifth goal of 2011 and third game winner was a cross from Samantha Panzner that Epstein volleyed into the net.
