Iona to Host Rider Friday Night on ESPNU

Edison, N.J. - The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference continues its 2011-12 MAAC Basketball Broadcast Schedule with Iona College hosting Rider University on Friday, January 20. Game time is slated for 10:00 p.m. at the Hynes Center, and it can be seen live on ESPNU, the 24-hour college sports network, as well as on ESPN3.
Rider is now 6-13 overall and 3-4 in league play. The Broncs are led by sophomore forward Daniel Stewart, who is averaging 13.2 points and 7.0 rebounds per game, and senior guard Jeff Jones, who is registering 12.6 points and 2.5 rebounds a night.
Iona is currently 14-4 overall and 6-1 in the MAAC. The Gaels are led by senior forward Mike Glover, who is averaging 19.0 points and 8.6 rebounds per game, as well as junior guard Lamont Jones, who is contributing 15.1 points and 3.6 assists an outing.
