Riverdale, N.Y. - On Friday, October
5th, the Manhattan College Men's Lacrosse team held the first installment of
their "Cleaning Up The Bronx Campaign." The campaign will continue
throughout the Fall semester, with other clean up sites scheduled for October
and November. The event ran from 2:30PM - 4:30 pm, 43 players were involved in
cleaning Gaelic Park, Broadway from 242nd Street to 238th St, Corlear Avenue,
Tibbett Avenue, Irwin Avenue, the Overlook stair well and the Waldo parking
lot. By installing the "Cleaning Up The Bronx Campaign," the
Manhattan Men's Lacrosse team is hoping to be active in the surrounding
community by focusing their clean up efforts on the Riverdale and Kingsbridge
sections of the Bronx.
