New Rochelle, N.Y. - The Iona College women's basketball team participated in its second
community service event of the year on Wednesday, October 3, 2012. The
team joined in on the events of "Make a Difference Week" by taking part
in the preparations for the Midnight Run. Stephen Hill, Coordinator of
Iona in Mission, met with the team to organize their efforts. Working
together in the basement of the Montgomery House, the team sorted
clothing that had been donated to Campus Ministries. Some of the
clothing was set aside and organized in order to distribute on the next
Midnight Run. The rest of the clothing was bagged and dropped off to the
New Rochelle Salvation Army as a donation.
