Riverdale, N.Y. - The Manhattan College Women's Soccer progam purchased a "Flock of
Hope" which included chicks, ducks, and gooslings for a family in need. We
also purchased a "Hope Basket"which included chickens and rabbits.
The Lady Jaspers raised money on campus in order make this donation.
The intention is to create
a cycle that will transform lives for generations to come. Flock of Hope
recipients receive months of training in how to care for their animal; sell the
milk, eggs or other products at market; and restore the environment. Passing on
this knowledge as well as the offspring of the gift animal is at the heart of
Flock of Hope model which has been ending hunger and poverty for over 67 years.
