McKenzie
scored game-highs in a pair of victories over Iona and Fairfield this past
weekend, helping the Greyhounds move into third-place in the MAAC standings.
The senior averaged 20.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 3.0 steals over
the two game span. McKenzie started the weekend by scoring 22 points and
grabbing 11 rebounds for her fifth double-double of the season while playing
all 40 minutes in a come-from-behind win against Iona. She followed that by
carrying the Greyhound offense in a win over second-place Fairfield, scoring a
game-high 18 points on seven-of-12 shooting to go with six rebounds. McKenzie
scored eight of her points in the final 3:20 of the contest and hit four free
throws down the stretch to lead Loyola to the win. McKenzie shot 51.9-percent
from the floor and 71.4-percent from the free-throw line in the two games.

Meghan McGuinness, Niagara

McGuinness
continues to be deadly from three-point range as she finished the weekend
shooting 60.0 percent from three-point range in Niagara's wins over Manhattan
and Iona last weekend. The freshman went 4-for-6 from the field and 3-4
from beyond the arc for 13 points on Friday in Niagara's 61-55 win over
Manhattan. Two days later she went 3-for-6 from beyond the arc and scored
11 points while adding a pair of blocks in the 68-55 win over Iona on
Sunday. She finished the weekend shooting 53.8 percent from the floor, a
perfect 4-for-4 from the free-throw line, and averaged 12 points per game in
just 18.5 minutes of playing time per game.
