Offensive Player of the Week

Addie Reilly, Fairfield, So., Attack, 5-6, Locust Valley, N.Y./Portledge

Reilly paced the Stags offense in a 13-6 opening day win with five points. She struck for four goals, including the game-winning tally, as well as an assist. Her first goal made the score 2-0, while her assist pushed the Stags first-half advantage to 4-1. She tallied the game-winner with 18:44 to play. Her third goal came 3:11 later, unassisted, to make it 9-3 and her free position shot with 2:14 to play, rounded out the Stag scoring.

Defensive Player of the Week

Katie Keenan, Fairfield, Jr., Goalkeeper, 5-7, Wantagh, N.Y.

Keenan was a dominate force in cage for the Stags, as she played every second of the game.  She stopped nine shots, with five of those coming in the first-half, as Fairfield built a three-goal lead that it would not relinquish.  Three of her four second half saves came in preventing Monmouth from cutting into the Stags advantage.  All three of her ground balls also came in the second-half.  Keenan also caused a turnover in the victory.

Rookie of the Week

Courtney Chmil, Fairfield, Fr., Midfielder, 5-8, Garden City, N.Y./Our Lady of Mercy

Chmil made her first collegiate start in her Fairfield debut on Saturday and didn't leave the field once, making an immediate impact for the Stags.   The rookie had a team-high five ground balls, while also leading the squad with four draw controls - both of which were game-highs.
