Two Men's Basketball Games on ESPN Platforms Friday

Edison, N.J. - Two of tonight's MAAC men's basketball games will air on ESPN platforms on Friday, February 24.

The first contest, featuring Loyola University Maryland at Rider University, will take place at 7:00 p.m. and air live on ESPN2. It can also be viewed on ESPN3.

Loyola, 20-7 overall and 12-4 in the MAAC, is led by sophomore guard Dylon Cormier, who is registering 13.8 points and 3.2 rebounds per game, and junior forward Erik Etherly, who is averaging 13.3 points and 7.6 caroms a night for the Greyhounds. Rider, 11-18 overall and 8-8 in the MAAC, is led by senior guard Jeff Jones, who is contributing 13.1 points and 2.5 rebounds per game, and senior forward Brandon Penn, who is posting 12.5 points and 6.5 rebounds an outing for the Broncs.

The second game, with Fairfield University at Iona College, will start at 9:00 p.m., can be seen live on ESPNU, the 24-hour college sports network, as well as ESPN3.

Fairfield, 17-11 overall and 12-4 in the MAAC, is led by senior forward Rakim Sanders, who is averaging 16.5 points and 3.5 assists per game, as well as junior guard Derek Needham, who is contributing 12.0 points and 5.3 rebounds an outing for the Stags. Iona, 22-6 overall and 13-3 in the MAAC, is led by senior forward Mike Glover, who is averaging a league-high 18.5 points and 9.3 rebounds an outing, and junior guard Lamont Jones, who is netting 16.2 points and 3.3 rebounds a night for the Gaels.
