George Beamon, Manhattan, Jr., G/F, 6-4, 170, Roslyn, N.Y./Roslyn

Beamon averaged 26.0 points and 6.5 rebounds in the final two games of the regular season to help the Jaspers secure the #3 seed at the 2012 MAAC Championship, the program's highest finish since 2005-06. He shot 59.4% (19-32) from the field, 44.4% (4-9) from 3-point territory and 83.3% (10-12) at the free throw line in back-to-back 20+ point performances. On Friday, Beamon exploded for his second double-double of the season, posting a game-high 28 points and 10 rebounds, while shooting 13-for-19 (68.4%) from the field in a 90-77 victory over Canisius. Then on Sunday, the MAAC's regular-season scoring leader (18.4 ppg) posted his ninth 20-point performance of the year with 24 points against Loyola. Beamon shot a perfect 10-for-10 from the free-throw line, posted a 46.2% (6-13) field goal percentage and dished out two assists.

Juan'ya Green, Niagara, Fr., G, 6-3, 195, Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Carroll

Green averaged 26.5 points per game, 4.0 assists per game and 3.5 steals per game while shooting 44.8 percent from the field and 81.5 percent at the free-throw line as Niagara split its final two regular season games last weekend. Green, the nation's second-leading freshman scorer, continued his record setting freshman season with two laudable performances over the weekend. He helped lead Niagara to a comeback win at Saint Peter's on Friday after the Purple Eagles trailed by as many as 16 points in the first half. Green kept NU in the game in the first half by scoring 14 points and finished with a game-high 23 points. He was instrumental in spearing a 17-2 run early in the second half which gave Niagara the lead. With 17 seconds left in the game and NU up by one, he converted two free throws to seal the 59-56 win. Green went 12-for-12 at the free throw line, which is tied for the highest percentage in the MAAC this season. He had three steals in the game to tie the school's freshman single-season steals record (53). On Sunday at Marist, Green led Niagara in scoring for the 16th time this season. He scored 30 points, 19 in the second half, for his third 30-point game of the season, which is the most by a Purple Eagle in five seasons. He added a game-high six assists and a team-high four steals. Green's first steal in the game set the school's freshman single-season record.
