Player of the Week

Nick Camastro, Manhattan College

Jr., R/R, INF, 6-0, 180, Lagrangeville, N.Y./Arlington

Camastro hit .529 (9-17) with two doubles and four RBI batting out of the lead-off spot in the Jaspers four game set at southern power Florida Atlantic. Camastro posted a .647 slugging percentage and .500 on-base percentage in four starts against the Owls. Camastro's marquee performance came in game one of Saturday's doubleheader when the shortstop hit 5-for-6 with a double and scored two runs to help the Jaspers to their first victory of the season. It also marked Florida Atlantic's first loss of the year after the Owls swept Alabama in the opening weekend of the season.

Pitcher of the Week

Nathan Linseman, Canisius College

RS-Jr., LHP, 6-0, 200, Guelph, Ontario/Our Lady of Lourdes

Linseman earned both victories for the Golden Griffins as Canisius split a four-game series at Duke. The redshirt junior didn't give up a hit and allowed one unearned run in his 4.0 innings of work while striking out three. Linseman worked a 1-2-3 ninth inning and then got the first two outs in the 10th inning in the 5-4 win on Friday. In the series finale, Linseman got the final two outs in the ninth, threw a scoreless 10th inning, and got the first two outs of the 11th inning to earn his second win of the weekend.

Rookie of the Week

Vin Teixeira, Manhattan College

Fr., R/R, INF, 6-4, 220, Hamden, Conn./Hamden Hall Country Day

Teixeira made a splash in his Jasper debut as he hit .500 with a double, home run and four RBI in three starts at Florida Atlantic. In his first contest for the Jaspers, Teixeira delivered a perfect 4-for-4 effort at the plate with three RBI and one home run helping Manhattan earn a 9-8 victory over Florida Atlantic, the Owls first loss of the season after sweeping Alabama in the team's opening series. Teixeira drove in his fourth run in game two of the doubleheader as he finished his first day in the Jaspers uniform batting 5-for-7 (.714).
