MAAC Offensive Player of the Week

CONNOR RICE, MARIST

A, Jr., 65-7, Penfield, N.Y./Penfield

 

Rice had five points, on two goals and three assists to lead the Red Foxes offense in a season-opening 12-10 victory over Sacred Heart.  He took five shots, good for second on the team, four of which were on net.  The Preseason All-American has now registered a point in all 31 games of his collegiate career, the eighth longest active streak in the nation.

 

MAAC Defensive Player of the Week

TOM MORR, SIENA

G, R-Sr., 6-2, 207, Rockville Centre, N.Y./Chaminade

 

Morr was sensational in goal over the weekend, keeping the Saints within striking distance throughout against perennial national title contender and No. 3 ranked Johns Hopkins.  Morr made 12 saves, stopping 57.1% of the shots he faced.  He also picked up a team-high four groundballs and caused a turnover.

 

MAAC Rookie of the Week

SCOTT DRUMMOND, DETROIT

A, So., 6-0, 170, Birmingham, Mich./Seaholm

 

Drummond had a game-high five points in the Titans 16-7 win over Mercer.  Drummond posted his first career hat trick and added a pair of assists.  He took five shots with four on goal and tied for the team-high with five ground balls.
