2012 Women's Basketball Championship Bracket
Springfield, Mass. - The 2012 MAAC Women's Basketball Championship begins Thursday, March 1 with two first round contests at the MassMutual Center in Springfield, Mass.
Iona (12-17, 8-10 MAAC) and Rider (11-18, 3-15
MAAC) will get things started at noon. Iona won the first game against the Broncs, besting them 64-50 at the Hynes Athletic Center. But, Rider got their revenge five weeks later, eeking out an 80-76 victory at the Alumni Gym in Lawrenceville.
Canisius (12-17, 6-12 MAAC) and Saint Peter's (4-25, 4-14 MAAC) will meet
in the second game of the day scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Canisius took the
first regular season game back on January 7th with a tightly contested 59-54 triumph. Saint Peter's returned the favor on February 12th with a 66-51
win at the Yanitelli Center in Jersey City.
The 2012 MAAC Basketball Postseason Awards Show will follow the two
games with a scheduled start time of 6:30 p.m. The program will be broadcast live on MAAC.TV.
