MAAC Offensive Player of the Week

BRYAN NEUFELD, SIENA

A, Sr., 5-8, 182, Virgil, Ontario/Niagara District

 

Neufeld scored 14 points in leading the Saints to a 2-0 week with wins over Stony Brook and Providence. Against the Seawolves, he scored the game-winning goal and finished with five goals and three assists. Siena scored the final five goals of the games to rally past Stony Brook for the 12-11 win and Neufeld recorded a point on four of those five goals. On Saturday, Neufeld added six more points on a hat trick and three assists in the win over the Friars. During the Saints' four-game winning streak, Neufeld has tallied 27 points.

 

MAAC Defensive Player of the Week

A.J. LEVELL, DETROIT

G, Jr., 5-10, 210, Columbus, OH/Dublin Scioto

 

Levell had a great day in the cage posting nine saves and allowing just seven goals in the overtime win against Marist.  He allowed just three goals in the second half and three of his saves were in the fourth quarter.  Levell also scooped up a pair of ground balls.

 

MAAC Rookie of the Week

ARI WAFFLE, JACKSONVILLE

A, Fr., 5-9, 160, Manlius, N.Y./Fayetteville Manlius

 

Ari Waffle, freshman, attack, Manlius, N.Y.: Waffle scored a school-record eight goals in a 13-12 overtime win against VMI including the game winner. He also scored the tying goal in regulation and scored the first goal of the day for JU. With one assist, he also set a school record for points in a game with nine. For the season, he leads the team in goals with 19 and is second in points with 27.
