Player of the Week

Ryan Plourde, Fairfield University
So., C/DH, 6-0, 195, Waterbury, Conn./Holy Cross

Plourde hit .533 (8-for-15) and slugged .733 over five games for the Stags last week. In the Stags' 4-0 victory over Delaware on March 2, Plourde opened the series by going 3-for-3 with a run scored. As the designated hitter on March 3 against the Blue Hens, he went 2-for-4 with a walk and a run scored. In the series finale, Plourde went 2-for-3 with a homer and walk.

Pitcher of the Week

John Soldinger, Manhattan College
Jr., RHP, 6-3, 230, Bayshore, N.Y./Bayshore

Soldinger tossed seven strong innings at #20 Maryland on Friday and posted eight strikeouts. Soldinger yielded only two hits to the powerful Terps and he turned the ball over to the bullpen in the eighth inning with the Jaspers leading 2-1. Soldinger did not allow an earned run and his eight strikeouts were a season-high.

Rookie of the Week

Rohn Pierce, Canisius College
Fr., RHP, 6-2, 212, Lockport, N.Y./Newfane

In his second collegiate start, Pierce allowed one hit and one unearned run in his five innings of work against Long Island. Pierce retired the first six batters he faced on the day and also struck out five batters in his five innings pitched.
