Offensive Player of the Week

Carly Quinn, Canisius, Sr., Attack, 5-7, Orangeville, Ontario/Orangeville SS

Quinn led Canisius with 11 points in a 2-0 start to the 2012 season, the team's best start since 2002. Quinn recorded three assists in the opener against Robert Morris and then added team highs with eight points, five goals and three assists in the finale against Monmouth. Her eight points against the Hawks are just one shy of her career high.

Defensive Player of the Week

Gina Molfetta, Canisius, Jr., Goalkeeper, 5-2, Caramel, NY/Mahopac

Molfetta anchored the Canisius defense to its best start in 10 seasons, posting a .417 save percentage in two wins during the week. Molfetta matched a career high with 10 saves in the season opener, leading the team to an 11-10 win against Robert Morris. The junior recorded a point-blank save with just 30 seconds remaining to preserve the one-goal victory. Molfetta followed it up with five saves in a win against Monmouth.

Rookie of the Week

Tori Quinn, Canisius, Fr., Midfield, 5-3, Orangeville, Ontario/Orangeville SS

In her first two collegiate games, Quinn recorded four draw controls, three caused turnovers, one ground ball and one goal. Her three caused turnovers are currently tied for the team lead. In an 11-10 win against Robert Morris, she led the Griffs with four draw controls and two caused turnovers. Quinn added her first collegiate goal in her second career game in a win over Monmouth.
