MAAC Offensive Player of the Week

CHRIS ROTH, SIENA

M, Sr., 5-9, 178, East Northport, N.Y./Northport

Roth erupted for a career-high seven points and tied a career-high with five goals as the Saints thwarted MAAC Preseason favorite Detroit 15-8 Saturday in Michigan in a rematch of last season's conference championship game. With the game tied at 5-5 midway through the third period, Roth scored the next two goals touching off a run of nine unanswered goals scored by the Saints. During that nine-goal run he accounted for five points and scored the game-winning goal.

MAAC Defensive Player of the Week

MATT LINDEMANN, VMI

G, Jr., 6-5, 240, Oakton, Va./Paul VI

Junior goalkeeper Matt Lindemann logged VMI's first MAAC win since April 25, 2009 while also posting his first career victory as the Keydets downed Manhattan 9-7 in Riverdale on Saturday. Lindemann, who stands at 6-5, turned aside 15 Jasper shots, finishing the day with a 68.2 save percentage. He also collected six groundballs, but perhaps his top stat of the day came at the start of the third quarter. After stopping Manhattan's first shot of the fresh half, Lindemann looked down field and hit Mickey Hofmeister with a long range pass, which Hofmeister converted into a goal, giving Lindemann the first point of his career.

MAAC Rookie of the Week

DREW NESMITH, MARIST

M, Fr., 6-1, Montclair, N.J./Montclair

Following his performances from the week before that won him Rookie of the Week honors, Marist freshman Drew Nesmith pulled off similar numbers in the Red Foxes two most recent games. He registered his second straight hat trick with three goals, including the game-winner 1:45 into overtime to beat Lafayette 11-10. He also added an assist for a four-point evening while taking nine shots and scooping up three ground balls. He then found the back of the net again in Marist's near-upset at eighth-ranked Duke, his ninth goal in the past four games, while also grabbing two more ground balls and causing a Blue Devils' turnover.
