Riverdale, N.Y. - On Sunday, March
25th, the Manhattan College Women's Soccer team packaged up used soccer
equipment to send to Beyond Sport Integrated, a non-profit group based
in Zambia. Their goal of Beyond Sport Integrated is to bring sports
and life skills to children in HIV/Aids affected areas.
Over the past 2 months, the Lady Jaspers have been able to collect 71 shirts,
10 pinnies, 1 jacket, 2 shorts, 20 cleats, 6 shin guards, 28 pairs of socks, 20
balls and 1 first aid kit. 21 players and 2 coaches were involved in the
project.
