Oosting, Keenan, and Chmil Earn Women's Lacrosse Weekly Honors

Offensive Player of the Week
Megan Oosting, Canisius, Sr., Midfield, 5-7,
Lakefield, Ontario/Lakefield District
Oosting once again led the Canisius attack during
the week, totaling 12 points, seven goals and five assists in a pair of games.
The senior set a career high with eight points (on 11 Canisius goals) against
Marist, netting four goals to go along with a personal-best four assists. Her
eight points are tied for the most by a MAAC player this season. Oosting also
recorded four points, three goals and an assist in a 13-5 victory over Colgate.
The senior added a team-best eight draw controls, six ground balls and one
caused turnover during the week.
Defensive Player of the Week
Katie Keenan, Fairfield, Jr., Goalkeeper, 5-7,
Wantagh, N.Y./Wantagh
Keenan was stellar in goal once again for the
Stags, picking up two more wins. She played 112:36 in cage and finished
the week with an impressive 4.26 GAA, allowing just eight goals. She made
seven saves, against three goals allowed, in the Stags league win over
Manhattan, and then stopped six more shots against Quinnipiac. Keenan
also had a caused turnover in the win at Quinnipiac.
Rookie of the Week
Courtney Chmil, Fairfield, Fr., Midfielder, 5-8,
Garden City, N.Y./Our Lady of Mercy
Chmil had another all around week, finishing with
four goals, three caused turnover, four draw controls and two ground
balls. In the league win over Manhattan she tallied two goals, caused
three turnovers, had two ground balls and a draw control. At Quinnipiac
Chmil again touched net twice and this time finished with three draw controls.
