Offensive Player of the Week

Carly Quinn, Canisius, Sr., Attack, 5-7, Orangeville, Ontario/Orangeville SS

Quinn led the Canisius attack with seven points against Manhattan, helping the Griffs open the defense of their 2011 MAAC title with a 17-9 victory. The senior netted two goals, while matching a career high with five assists in the victory. She helped Canisius take control from the start of the game, registering three assists in a 5-0 run to start the contest.

Defensive Player of the Week

Kelley Brady, Fairfield, Sr., Goalkeeper, 5-6, Olney, Md./Holy Cross

Brady made her first collegiate start and handled Niagara's offense in leading the Stags to a league victory on Saturday.  She stopped six shots, four in the second-half, to earn the win.  Brady only allowed five goals in the game, giving up only two in the second-half of play.  She also picked up a team-best tying three ground balls in the victory

Rookie of the Week

Tori Quinn, Canisius, Fr., Midfielder, 5-3, Orangeville, Ontario/Orangeville SS

Quinn did a little bit of everything to lead the Griffs to their first conference victory of the 2012 campaign. The freshman set a career high with four points in the win, netting two goals and registering two assists. She also recorded two draw controls, two caused turnovers and two ground balls on the defensive end.
