Berry had a five-hit performance at Rider on April 20, as he went 5-for-5 with three runs scored, an RBI, a triple and stolen bases. In Marist's 13-0 win in game one of a doubleheader on April 21, he went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI. Pitcher of the Week

Brett Shulick, Fairfield University

Sr., RHP, 5-11, 190, Stratford, CT/Bunnell

Shulick turned in a masterful pitching performance in the Stags' 13-1 victory over Niagara on Sunday to complete the series sweep. Shulick scattered three hits and struck out a season-high seven batters in 8.0 shutout innings. Shulick, who needed just 76 pitches for his fourth victory of the year, did not walk a batter or allow an extra base hit during his outing. Shulick flirted with a perfect game through 4.2 innings, retiring the first 14 batters of the game. After allowing back-to-back singles in the fifth, Shulick retired eight-straight batters until giving up a one-out hit in the eighth inning.

Rookie of the Week

Michael Scarinci, Manhattan

Fr., RHP, 6-0, 190, Nanuet, N.Y./Pearl River

Scarinci was spectacular on Sunday as he delivered a complete game two-hitter to help lift the Jaspers to a 7-0 victory at Canisius to take the MAAC series. It completed only the second MAAC series victory over the Golden Griffins on their home field, the Demske Sports Complex, in the last three years. Scarinci carried a perfect game into the sixth inning as he sat down 15 batters in order. The only thing that got in his way of perfection was a pair of infield hits in the last two frames. Scarinci faced the minimum 21 batters of the seven inning affair, and he did not allow the Griffs to touch second base in the entire contest. The right hander from Nanuet, N.Y. finished the game with 4 strikeouts and he did not give up a walk. Scarinci forced Canisius into 13 ground outs with two double plays as he secured his first career complete game shutout.
