MAAC Men's Basketball Among NCAA Stat Leaders

Edison, N.J. - Several individuals and teams either led the nation or ranked in the top five according to the final NCAA statistics report for the 2011-12 men's basketball season.
Siena College junior forward OD Anosike led the nation in rebounds per game, pulling down 12.5 boards per game for the Saints. He also recorded 23 double doubles this past season, ranking him second on the NCAA leaderboard. As a team, Siena came in third for personal fouls per game, as the Saints were called for just 13.9 violations per contest over 31 games played.
Iona College senior guard Scott Machado led the nation in assists with 9.9 per game, and finished fourth among all Division I men's basketball players in assist/turnover ratio (3.03). Fellow teammate Mike Glover, a senior forward for the Gaels, closed out the year ranked second in field goal percentage, netting 63.7 percent of his attempts from the field.
Glover and Machado also helped Iona finish in the top five in team statistics as well. The Gaels took the top spot in both scoring offense (82.9 PPG) and assists per game (19.3), finished second in assist/turnover ratio (1.54) and came in third in field goal percentage (50.2) over 33 games played this season.
