MAAC Swimming & Diving Opens Up the 2013-2014 Season

Edison, N.J. – The MAAC Swimming and Diving season is here. This season the Rider men look for their third consecutive conference title, while the women of Marist look to take home their fifth consecutive MAAC championship.

The season begins this weekend when Bryant, Fairfield, Niagara, and Rider take on their opponents for the first time this year. The rest of the conference will begin their seasons next weekend when Canisius hosts Marist, and Manhattan hosts Fairfield for the first conference meets of the season. Iona and Siena will also open their seasons next weekend when they head to Boston College, while Saint Peters opens up with a meet at Rutgers.

Beginning October 16th, the MAAC will begin to name this year’s performers of the week. Each week throughout the season, a swimmer and diver from both the men’s and women’s teams will be chosen for the awards.

The 2014 MAAC Swimming & Diving Championships will be held on February 13th to the 15th at Erie Community College in Buffalo, N.Y.
