Riverdale, N.Y. - Student-athletes from the Men's & Women's Track & Field teams volunteered their time at the Merrell Down and Dirty Mud and Obstacle Race. This event was a 5k and 10k race with military themed obstacles and lots of MUD! For each of the 31 volunteers that the Men's & Women's Track & Field team brought, the Merrell Down & Dirty organization donated 20 per volunteer back to the American Red Cross. The event was held at Pelham Bay Park at Orchard Beach on September 29th. The student-athlete volunteers help assists with registration, parking, obstacle directions, first-aid stations, bag check, and providing refreshments.
