Meier, Wicks Earn Corvias ECAC Women's Soccer Awards

EDISON, NJ - A pair of outstanding MAAC soccer student-athletes, Jenn Meier of Rider and Andrea Wicks of Marist, were recipients of Corvias ECAC weekly women’s soccer awards.
Meier, a senior forward for Rider, scored four goals and assisted on another to help the Broncs to a 2-0 week. In a 3-1 win over Saint Peter’s, Meier assisted on the Broncs’ first goal and then scored the second. In the week’s second match for the Broncs, Meier scored a hat trick as Rider blanked Iona 3-0. It was her second career hat trick. Meier shared the Corivas ECAC weekly Offensive Player of the Week award with Morgan Dankanich of Navy and Kate Schwindel of West Virginia.
Wicks, a junior goalie for Marist, notched two shutouts to lead the Red Foxes to a pair of victories. Wicks had six saves in a 1-0 overtime win over Canisius, and then earned her sixth shutout of the season with a 4-0 victory over Saint Peter’s.
