Marist Ranks Second, Quinnipiac Seventh in CollegeInsider.com Women's Basketball Mid-Major Poll

Edison, N.J. – The CollegeInsider.com Women’s Basketball Mid-Major Top 25 Poll has ranked Marist College second and Quinnipiac University seventh.
The Marist College Red Foxes were the unanimous favorite in the MAAC Preseason Coaches’ Poll. The Red Foxes will be looking to win their 9th consecutive MAAC championship and 10th in the last eleven seasons.
MAAC newcomer, The Quinnipiac University Bobcats registered a record season with 30 wins, a Northeast Conference championship, and NCAA berth last season. The Bobcats were picked to finish third in the MAAC Preseason Coaches’ Poll.
Marist and Quinnipiac square off twice in 2013-14. They will meet for the first time in Hamden, Conn. at the TD Bank Sports Center on Dec. 6 at 6 p.m. and the game will be featured on ESPN3. The second matchup between the teams will take place on Feb. 14 at McCann Arena in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. at 5 p.m. on ESPNU.
