Also receiving high rankings in the nation are Baseball earning a 91% GSR, which is 2nd among all conferences and Men’s Basketball which ranks 5th with a 82% GSR.
“The high GSR rates achieved by the MAAC member schools and their student-athletes in all sports reflects the commitment the league has made to excellence in academics and athletics,” notes MAAC Commissioner, Richard J. Ensor, Esq. “Congratulations to the student-athletes, coaches and administrators of the MAAC who collectively have reached this level of national academic success.”
The graduation success rate (GSR) is a freshman-cohort rate which indicates the percentage of freshmen who entered during a given academic year and graduated within six years. Added to the freshman are those students who entered midyear, as well as student-athletes who transferred into an institution. In addition, the GSR subtracts students from the entering cohort who are considered allowable exclusions, as well as those who would have been academically eligible to compete had they returned to the institution.
