Bray, Graesser, Hiller, & Tobias Honored with MAAC Weekly Awards

Edison, N.J. – Canisius College’s Spencer Bray was named the MAAC Men's Swimmer of the Week, while Hannah Graesser, another Golden Griff, earned the award on the Women's side. Rider University's Trevor Hiller and Marist College’s Kimberly Tobias were chosen as the Men’s and Women's Divers of the Week.
Bray took home two individual victories at the University of Rochester Invitational. Bray finished the 200-yard backstroke in 1:56.60, for a first-place finish. He followed that up by taking the top-spot in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:44.70. Bray also had a second-place finish in the meet, with a time of 1:46.43 in the 200-yard freestyle.
Graesser set a pair of records at the University of Rochester Invite. She broke her own school-record in the 50-yard freestyle thanks to a time of 24.09, finishing first in the event. She also took home the top-spot in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 53.69, which was also good for a school record. Graesser also played a key role on three relay teams. Graesser helped the Canisius 400-yard medley relay, the 200-yard freestyle relay, and the 400-yard freestyle relay take first place finishes in the meet.
In Rider’s dual meet win over Lehigh on October 26, Hiller won both the one-meter dive scoring a 328.35, and three-meter dive with a score of 355.05. Hillers dive broke the three-meter Coppola Pool record of 348.08, set by Brendan Cavallaro in 2010. Hiller also reached the NCAA Zone Diving qualification mark for the third year in a row on both boards.
Marist’s freshman Kimberly Tobias won both the one meter and three meter diving events, scoring 269.65 and 260.10, respectively. Tobias qualified for the NCAA Zone Diving Championships in the meet.
