MAAC Men's Soccer To Begin Conference Action

EDISON, NJ – Men’s soccer play in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) gets underway this weekend with a full slate of matches on Saturday, Oct. 5.

Regular season league action will continue through Nov. 9 when the top four teams advance to the MAAC Men's Soccer Championship, Nov. 15-17, at Fairfield University.

Three afternoon matches and two evening contests comprise the first day of MAAC soccer. Kicking off the action will be Marist at Rider at 1:00 p.m. At 2:00 p.m., Saint Peter’s will visit Niagara, and at 3:00 p.m. Iona is at Quinnipiac.

Rounding out the initial day of action are the Manhattan at Canisius contest, and Monmouth at Fairfield, both at 7:00 p.m.

Siena, which drew a bye in the first week, will host Fairleigh Dickinson at noon.

Quinnipiac and Monmouth, the two newest members of the MAAC, are both making their debuts in MAAC play.

The Manhattan-Canisius and Marist-Rider matches, both at 7, will be broadcast on MAAC.TV.

There is also a full schedule of MAAC women’s games this weekend, including Canisius at Manhattan, Quinnipiac at Iona, and Niagara at Saint Peter’s, all at 1; and Rider at Marist and Fairfield at Monmouth at 7. Siena is idle this weekend.

The Quinnipiac-Iona, Fairfield-Monmouth; Canisius-Manhattan and Niagara-Saint Peter’s contests will be broadcast on MAAC.TV.
