Quinnipiac to Face American in NCAA Championship

Edison, N.J – The Quinnipiac University field hockey team, the 2013 MAAC Champions, will take on American University in the play in game of the 2013 NCAA Field Hockey Championship at American University on Wednesday, November 13 at 2:00p.m.
The Bobcats (14-6) are making their first trip to the NCAA Tournament since 2003 after earning the first MAAC Field Hockey conference title on Saturday. Quinnipiac defeated third-seeded Bryant, 5-0, in the semifinal before earning a 1-0 victory against fourth-seeded Robert Morris to win the title.
American claimed the Patriot League automatic bid after posting a 3-0 shutout of Boston University in the Patriot League Championship. The Eagles finished the season with a 14-5 record.
The winner will take on No. 1 Maryland on November 16 at 11:30a.m.
