Cramer, Orr, Hiller, & Steinberger Honored with MAAC Weekly Awards

Edison, N.J. – Rider University’s Sam Cramer was named the MAAC Men's Swimmer of the Week, while Bonnie Orr of Marist College earned the award on the Women's side. Rider University’s Trevor Hiller and another Fairfield’s Ashlee Steinberger were chosen as the Men’s and Women's Divers of the Week.
Rider’s Sam Cramer won the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:44.23, the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 4:42.64, and the 1000 yard freestyle finishing in 9:45.12. Cramer was also on the winning 400 yard freestyle relay which posted a time of 3:11.14, as Rider defeated Marist in a dual meet on November 16.
Bonnie Orr, a senior from Fresno, California, claimed three individual events and one relay event against the Rider women in the Red Foxes win this weekend. Her individual performances were all seasonal best times, including her win in the 1,000 yard freestyle with a time of 10:35.78. Orr came right back in the next event and won the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:56.30. Marist also claimed the top three spots in the 500 yard freestyle, with Orr taking first place with a time of 5:12.75.
Trevor Hiller, a senior from Rider, won both the one-meter dive with a score of 319.35, and three-meter dive posting a score of 304.42, as the Rider men defeated Marist in a dual meet on November 16.
Fairfield’s junior Ashlee Steinberger captured both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards at the Fairfield Diving Invitational on November 16. Steinberger placed first on the 1-meter with a personal best score of 246.83. She also recorded a first place score of 249.60 in the 3-meter event.
