A.J. Johnson – Saint Peter’s University

A.J. Johnson has been a mainstay on the Saint Peter's defense for four years. A team captain in 2013, the senior helped Saint Peter's to the 2010 MAAC Tournament title and a trip to the NCAA Tournament. Johnson has appeared in 59 career games with 56 starts and registered his only point on an assist in 2012. Johnson was named to the MAAC Academic Honor Roll in his last two seasons.
Sandra Penas – Rider University
Field Hockey, Sr., F., 5-6, Barcelona, Spain/ies Joaquim Blume
A 79-game veteran and Rider’s all-time leading scorer (63g, 38a) with 164 points, Penas has led the Broncs to four straight conference regular season championships during her career with Rider, participating in the last three NCAA Play-In games. This season, Penas was named the MAAC preseason Player of the Year and she is Rider’s leading scorer with nine goals and 13 assists as the Broncs have compiled a 13-6 record, 5-1 in the MAAC. Her assist total is currently third best in the nation. A Third Team All-America honoree as a junior and Rider’s Female Athlete of the Year in 2012-13, Penas has been equally strong in the classroom, compiling a 3.25 grade point average as a Business Administration/International Business major, earning conference All-Academic honors.
