MAAC Standout Barbara Church Honored with Mouscar

Edison, N.J. - At the 2013 MAAC Women’s Soccer Championship Awards Banquet, the league’s Senior Associate Commissioner and Senior Woman Administrator, Barbara Church, was awarded an ‘Mouscar’ from Disney Sports Attractions for her 15 years of service to the MAAC’s student-athletes at the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex at the Walt Disney World Resort.
Church, who has served on the MAAC staff since 1990, and before that was the SWA at Saint Peter’s University has served the league since its inception with a special focus on student-athlete welfare and equity.
At the 2013 event at Disney she was coordinating the annual fall meeting of the MAAC SAAC including the time the student-atheletes spent time on community relation projects, a Disney Institute program on leadership and a MAAC SAAC Town Forum that will be televised later this month on MAAC.TV. Presenting the ‘Mouscar’ at the banquet was Rich Ensor, MAAC Commissioner.
