Neuendorf and Pires named Corvias ECAC Men's Swimmer & Diver of the Week

Edison, N.J. – Manhattan College Sophomore Lance Neuendorf has been named Corvias ECAC Men’s Swimmer of the Week, and Daniel Pires of Fairfield University has been named Corvias ECAC Men’s Diver of the Week.

Sophomore Lance Neuendorf was key in the Jaspers fourth place finish at the ECAC Winter Championships, earning seven top-10 finishes including three individual events. He helped the 200 and 400 medley relay team to a third place finish while also taking third in the 800 free relay and taking fifth in the 400 free relay. Individually, Neuendorf posted a third place finish in the 200 back with a time of1:53.79. He also placed seventh in the 100 back with a finishing time of 52.82 and 10th in the 400 Individual Medley posting a time of 4:16.41. His contributions helped Manhattan earn 691.5 points, the most in any championship format in program history.

Daniel Pires was the runner-up in both the 1-meter and 3-meter events at the ECAC Open Championships on December 6th-8th. He posted a second place score of 233.70 on the 1-meter and a score of 267.65 on the 3-meter, also placing second.

The award is shared with Michael Brown and Ruslan Kopunek of Loyola Maryland, and Connor Stuewe of Boston University.
