Brett Bisping – Siena College

So., Men’s Basketball, Peoria, Ill./Morton

Bisping has excelled on and off the court during his sophomore campaign at Siena. On the court, he has more than doubled his production from his rookie season, emerging as a key factor for a young Saints’ team that has the Capital Region excited about the future of Siena basketball. Bisping is averaging 7.5 points per game (up from 3.2 as a rookie) and a team-best 6.2 rebounds per game (up from 2.6 last season). The 83 points he has scored in 11 games this season are more than he scored in 25 games played all of last year (80). Bisping is coming off a career-high 17 points at Canisius (Dec. 8), and he scored 10 in the team’s MAAC-opening win at Niagara on Dec. 6 (Siena’s first win at Gallagher Center in five years). Bisping had a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds against nationally-ranked Memphis in the Old Spice Classic, and added 12 points and eight rebounds in a hard-fought loss at Purdue earlier this season. Bisping has battled his way into the starting lineup, seeing his minutes increase from 16.8 through the first five games to 26.5 over the last six. In the classroom, Bisping carries a 3.57 GPA in Siena’s business school after posting a stellar 3.75 last fall.
