Rider's Hareau Named to National All-Rookie Team

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ—Freshman forward Nicole Hareau (Montevideo, Uruguay/Colegio Ingles) of the Rider University field hockey team was named an All-Rookie honoree it was announced by Synapse Sports (formally womensfieldhockey.com).
Hareau was one of 16 players nationally to be named to the All-Rookie Team.
Hareau, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year, led Rider (13-7, 5-1 MAAC) to the MAAC Regular Season Title as the Broncs advanced to the conference semifinals.
Hareau was second in the conference with 15 goals and ranked second in the league and 20th nationally in goals per game with 0.79.
Hareau finished her rookie campaign with 30 points, third best in the conference and she was 45th nationally averaging 1.58 points per game.
Hareau was named MAAC Rookie of the Week four times this past season.
The Broncs return 18 letterwinners in 2014 for coach Hussong who has a 197-84 record in 14 seasons at Rider.
